WINNER!

Jason won the 21st Ward Chili Cook Off last year. He was super excited. So this year he felt the pressure.

He was super stressed about the competition.

Doesn't that look delicious? I really dislike chili so I never have never tried his chili.

Guess who won this year? JASON! YAHOOOO! He is the 2 times defending champ. I think I will have to try his chili next year. All those hours of watching the Food Network Channel have paid off, BIG TIME!

-I made him dress up like a runner for the ward Halloween party this year. He was one of two men dressed up. Jason was a good sport!

We are pretty pumped at our house tonight!

Sundance Sound of Music

This Summer we went to see the Sound of Music up at Sundance with our neighbors the Sandstroms. It was super fun. It was a little chilly, but we survived.

Tammy and Parker getting ready for the big show.

We had a great time. I would definitely suggest going next year.

(It remind me of High School) Good Times!

Impromptu FHE

I blog backwards! HELP!
Anyway, last week I decided at 4:45 that we should go up the canyon for FHE. Jason loves impromptu outings. The girls asked if we were bringing the Rhino, I thought about it and said, "heck ya!"

I love riding in the Rhino. It is on my top 10 list of fun things to do.

This is the girls heading down the mountain. It was getting cold and starting to rain.

Jason with his bino's looking for deer and other animals.

Check out my Muley Crazy sweat shirt. Pretty sweet!

The leafs were already yellow on top of the mountain. It was a sea of yellow and green.

We love our healthy Doritos. At least we have on our helmets, Kelli.

Thank you for smiling Halle. No one ever listens to me when I say, "smile" or "look at the camera". Come on people.

Loading up to ride up the mountain.

(Will someone teach me how to move pictures around.)

We can now mark this off our list of things to do this Fall. Now we need to carve our Halloween pumpkins.

It is in her blood

These are the lastest sewing projects for Miss Halle.

She made this cute little owl bag this summer.

She just finished the polka dot blanket last week. Sometimes kids just can't fight it when they are talented like their mother. What can I say, it is in her blood. She loves to sew and create.

Conference

General Conference was a hit this year. I had jars of candy with a topic on the front and when the girls heard the word, they got a candy. I have never seen the girls drop their forks and run as Conference started. They had their ears glued to the T.V.

Literally glued to the T.V. It was kind of funny at first. But then the first speaker came on and wiped out 2 of my jars. The girls were making a killing.

The girls could trade in their candy for rewards:

10 candies= a bucket of balls at the driving range

10 candies= a date with dad

10 candies= movie with mom

10 candies= a free lunch from Wendy's at school

20 candies= a week free of bathroom cleaning

Halle is going on a date, going to a movie, a free Wendy's lunch at school, and she doesn't need to clean the bathroom until next General Conference.

Yes, they did listen but next year I might put different words on the jars like, bippity boppity boo!
