I hoard food!

I decided to clean out my pantry. I love organizing and cleaning things out, but this was a little more than I thought. I thought my pantry was pretty clean but man I had a lot of junk in there.

I repainted the shelves. They were worse than I thought. They were dingy and gross!
I am a food hoarder! I painted the back of the shelves gray. I have been wanting to paint something gray, so this was a first step to see if I like it. I like gray but this was a little to dark. O-well.
It isn't that impressive looking but it is super organized. I have a few finishing touches to add but it turned out great.
This looks messy but this is the cleaning container, (old shirts) cleaning towel container and school lunch chips container.
I bought these baskets to group things together. We always need band aids and flashlights at the same time.
I love my school lunch container. Every morning I happily make lunch for my girls. This container has peanut butter, baggies, applesauce, fruit rollups, and a bag of mints. So, when I'm in a hurry I just grab that container and it only takes a few minute to make their lunches.
The End. I need to label that plastic containers that you can see the lids of. I didn't get a picture of them. They have oatmeal, brown sugar, granola, etc. in them.
I have been wanting to get this pantry clean for a few months now, YEAH, I'm done!
Now to conquer Hunter's closet.

Hawkins Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve at the Hawkins Farm.
A lot of the families have moved out of state, so the numbers were low. Hunter was lonely, because she was the oldest grandchild with a bunch of little ones. Hunter loves all of her cousins but she missed the older ones.
Halle and Brynn dancing to La Bomba! Halle loves the little ones. She loves to boss the kids around and make up games and dances. She will make a great mom and camp director one day.
LA LA LA LA LA Bomba! Our annual Christmas Eve party song.
Grandpa Hawkins on an iPad reading Luke 2. It seems so funny to see him reading off an iPad.
The Grand Kids.

Robison Family Christmas Party

The Robison Family party was again at Thanksgiving Point. We road the trolley around and looked at lights. It was a fun and warm activity for the families.

This is a sweet picture of Halle and Fisher. NICE!
Grandma Nan and the Grand kids.
Bryan- Brandi- Nanners- Kelli- Lanny
After the Trolley ride we went to Grandma Nanners for dinner. This is the mature table, THE GIRLS.
Grandma Nanners made 2 hams, she never want to run out of food. She is like a Scout, "always prepared"!
We played a lot of fun "minute to win it" games. It was a fun night for everyone. Thanks Nanners for planning a fun Christmas Party!

Christmas 2011

For the sake of documentation- This is a little late but I didn't want to skip over Christmas!

Note- I bought myself a new camera for our Disneyland trip and it was fine, all 300 pictures. When I downloaded my pictures for Christmas, there was a slight problem, only 25 pictures were showing up. More than half of my Christmas pictures didn't work. I need a new SD card. Seriously Christmas pictures gone. So, this is what I have to work with!

The girls ready for 9:00am church. I thought it was great to go to church on Christmas, isn't that what it is all about!
Halle got Bop-it for Christmas. FYI-don't get it for your kids. Some how we can't find Bop-it, hmmm. I hope we find soon. JK
We usually have a healthy breakfast of crepes, vanilla syrup, hash browns, orange juice and sausage. Yes, we both have a New Years resolution to get healthy.
Because I don't have pictures I will document what Hunter received for Christmas; clothes, red jacket, lip gloss, and her Kindle. She drove us bonkers begging for the Kindle. I did have a cute picture of her face when she opened up her gift, but I guess we will never see it!
Halle made the cute gift for Jason and I this year at school. We didn't get each other gifts this year because Jason got a gun safe that he wanted, and I received a new computer that I had been begging for all year. I still can't figure it out. I have to call my neighbor Jodi to help me log on!
Halle received clothes, Bop-it, and a video camera. She makes up dances and I record her sweet moves.
This is Hunter hoping that her Kindle is in the big box, nope. I think it was purple sheets.
This is a picture of us putting up the tree, just pretend it is us taking down the decorations on Dec. 26th. We usually have the decorations down within 24 hours of Christmas. What is my problem? I have Valentines decorations up, and loving it

Papa Kent

My dad passed away 8 years ago today. It seems like forever, and it also seem like he could walk in the door right now with a Coke in his hand.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Hunter and my dad. I have this picture framed in Hunters room. This is a picture of us riding four wheelers up to the cabin. My dad loved the cabin.
This is the last picture I have of my dad before he passed away. It was Christmas morning and my mom received a VCR? for Christmas. I wish I had taken more pictures of him with my kids!!! AARRRH!
This is the Deer Hunt (I think). I am holding Halle and Hunter has on the red jacket and hat. We are up at the cabin with Lanny and Melinda, before they had kids.
This is at Halle's Blessing. My dad died when Halle was 6 months old. I am glad I have this picture if them together. I have this picture framed in Halle's room.
Guess where? The cabin. My dad loved the cabin, if he wasn't working at the A.C. he was at the cabin doing projects.
My dads favorite topics: His kids, his grandkids, the Arctic Circle, the 49ers, the broncos, the cougars, and his kids.

We miss you papa Kent!
