Poinsetta Festival

The girls had a performance last week. They performed at the Poinsetta Festival.

Grandma Nan was there on the front row.

Hunter is the one with the straight leg and pointed toe, not that I'm bragging or anything.

I love watching my girls.

Practice- Practice- Practice

Aunt Becky told Halle to practice changing her dolls diaper and when she gets really good at it she could change Baby Vela's diaper. Halle has always wanted to change a diaper. So, Halle kept changing her dolls diaper all day long.

I know what Halle is getting for Christmas. . . A case of diapers.

Hunter has been begging for years to make a snowman. We would always tell her it was to cold or the snow wouldn't stick. Well, now she is old enough to do it herself, so she did. Yeah for Hunter her first real snowman. She had a little help from our neighbor Parker.

She was very proud of her snowman. We had to keep checking on it all night. Our kids are pretty easy to please, thank goodness. Now all of her dreams have come true.

New Rooms (kind of)

I have been waiting and waiting for years to do the girls rooms. I am done waiting, so here is a preview of what I have done (so far). I'm on a budget so I pretty much painted everything in Halle's room that was green to black.

You might recognize this adorable day bed. I got it when I was 16 years old. I'm so glad my parents bought me quality furniture. My husband's motto is "If it still works we are not buying a new one!" Thanks Mom and Dad, Halle's little girl will be sleeping in this bed until she is married!

This looks like blue but it is really turquoise. I'm looking for a white dresser for her room. She really wants more green in her room but I am having a hard time finding something girly and green. I want to put her initials over her bed or something cute. If you have any great ideas give me a call.

Hopefully I can post a final picture when I get done. I have never finished a room completely, so don't hold your breath.

Rolls

I feel like I have found a good roll recipe. In fact I have made rolls every Sunday for the last two months. Jason and the girls love them. I am hoping that I will be asked to take them to Thanksgiving this year. I want to show off my talents (I've been looking for a talent for some time now). Next year I will master mashed potatoes.
