Disneyland part2

Hawkins

This was the day it poured and poured and poured. I had to borrow clothes from the kids. I wore shorts and a t-shirt. I though it would be warm rain, we are in Disneyland, and it is magical. I froze my . . . bottom off! I think Shirlene had on flip flops. We would have grounded our kids if they wore shorts and flip flops in the rain. DUH!

Laura braved the rain storm and brought Brynn to hang out with us. What a good mom!

Brynn was super energetic and a lot of fun. The girls thought she was the best! Thanks for braving the rain and hanging out with us!

Check out the rain. Hate it! We ate lunch in the locker . . . GROSE!

Yum.

A little Toy Story will cheer up any freezing mom and dad.

If Toy Story can't warm you up then how about a $8.00 turkey leg. Check out Jason's pocket. He had more than a turkey leg. I think he kept buying Dr. Pepper's and hoarding them in his side pocket. No wonder he was in such a good mood!

Zane choked on his turkey and leg and ended up have the Heimlich done buy Margot.

Another $8.00 well spent.

There goes Hunter's Christmas funds, she spend her money on those stupid turkey legs. I guess we spent all of out hotel money on turkey legs. No wonder our hotel was practically on the freeway. We got a great deal though! If you don't mind hearing cars zoom past your room all night long.

Magical

The Haunted Mansion with Maddie, Isaac and Hunter. A few of our friends showed up at the same time so we hung out with everyone. The kids took turns going on rides with their friends. They all get along with eachother. Disneyland is magical!!
We found Sam (neighbor boy) at Disneyland too.

A guy that works at Disneyland came up to us and asked if there was anything that we needed. We told him we needed fast passes to Toy Story, but they don't give out fast passes. He took us to the front of the line and we went on Toy Story without a 45 minute wait. Once again . . . Magical.

Wearing 2 sunglasses is totally in style.

Margot is an attorney, she is smart. She knows to TAKE OFF the glasses before a photo is taken.

Isaac and Hunter

Margot's brother Max and his wife Julianna and Ava.

Kids in a toy box and can't get out. . . . Dreamy!

Halloween 2011

Jason got out the power tools and carved pumpkins with the girls.

Hunter's Pumpkin

Halle's Pumpkin

Halle and Lucas at the school parade.

Hunter's last school parade.

Halle and Lucas getting ready to go trick or treating.

Hunter ready to go out on the town.

Halle came up with her own costume. She went down in the container of dance costumes and came out with this witch costume. Halle is very crafty.

This is the 2 annual Halloween Garage Party. Everyone brings food and we sit and watch trick or treaters. I highly recommend it!

Doesn't this look fun. The best weather and best friends. Super FUN!

This is Lanny and his boys.

So sad! Lanny, not the boys.

Hunter and her friends counting their loot.

The best Halloween ever.

Disneyland 2011

We were planning a trip to Disneyland and after talking to the Edwards (they go every year) and talking to the Barlows (they want to go every year) it ended up that we were all going the same week.

YIPPEE!
Jason enjoying himself at Disneyland. I hope he is checking out the new app for Disneyland. It tells you how long the waits are for the rides. It is a cool app. Or maybe he is looking at Monster Muleys, who knows.

One of the favorite ride, Thunder Mountain Rail Road.

Was I ever that sweet? (NO!) Hunter and her best friend Lauren went around holding hands. AAHHH.

Good thing it wasn't Issac. (I don't think Isaac would have gone for that.)

Best Buddies.

Indiana Jones.

Terry and Margot= Die Hards!!!

Lucas and Halle

They went on 2 different rides together where they encountered barf!
They were barf magnets.

It was a great day at Disneyland. We had great weather the first day and then all heck broke loose the next day. I will post more rain pictures later.

We love Disneyland.

Fireplace redo

I have wanted to paint this sweet fireplace for a couple of years. I recently got a bid from a painter and he told me it would be $400.00 buckaroos! I hate paying someone to do something that I could probably do, so here goes. I went to Four Chairs in Orem and got some advice. She told me I could be done by the end of the day. Wrong! I wanted to go slow and steady. It took me one week.

Jason wasn't a fan of me doing this but when he came home and saw this, he had to start seeing the vision. I was practically crying after this picture was taken. This was after sanding and painting 2 times. I was so mad that I tried to do it. I had ruined the fireplace.

This is the final result. Not to bad! I am pretty happy with the results. Is it perfect? NOPE! But I tried and did something that I had wanted to do for years. I now have to tackle the banister going downstairs. The bid for that was $1300.00. I bet I can do it for cheaper. I better get something good from Santa this year!

Fall Bike Ride

We went with our neighbors the Sandstroms on a bike ride down Provo Canyon. We have been trying to get together and do this for years. Finally we did it. It was perfect weather and the scenery was beautiful.

Jason loves a good close-up.

Hunter was on her cruiser bike. She did awesome, other than the time she ran into a sign and was inches from going in the river.

Halle did great too. Her bike was making a weird noise so she was paranoid the entire time that something bad was going to happen to her bike. Why is she so paranoid?JK

Speeder!

We ended the ride at Utah Lake. It was a great time. We we definitely be doing this next year.
