1st day of school for Halle and Hunter

This was the first day of kindergarten for Miss Halle. She had a lot of fun in her class. She was ready at 7:45am and couldn't wait another hour.

Hunter loves school too. She ran home saying it was the best day of her life.

Provo Canyon Half Marathon

For some odd reason we signed up for the Provo Canyon 1/2 marathon. I really didn't plan on doing it because I was hoping that I would be pregnant (that's funny). So, we ended up doing the race. Jason hurt his foot a week before and wasn't going to run. I was really sad because I wanted him to run with me. So on his way home from work Friday night he called and said he was going to run with me! Yahoo!

We got up at 3:45 am and left for the race. The race route ran down Provo Canyon. So, we took off down South Fork running together just like I had imagined until about 3 minutes into the race and then Jason decided he wanted to win or something. He took off and I didn't see him until the end of the race. I kept looking for him on the side of the road hurt (because he was in so much pain the week before?) or I thought I would see him holding some water for me waiting for me to catch up to him but that did not happen. He was waiting for me at the end of the race eating pancakes.

He was a good sport though, he had no desire and still has no desire to run again!

We love Lake Powell!

We went to Lake Powell with our nextdoor neighbors the Sandstroms last week.
Gramdma Nan came along for the ride. She loved "frying" in the sun. I asked her if we could borrow some of her sunscreen, she laughed and handed me her tanning oil.

What can I say, it was the only picture I was in. Jason bought me the cool hat at the marina. I thought it was ugly, but then I realized it didn't matter it was so dang hot!

The girls both tried to ski, they didn't love it but at least they tried.

Halle wouldn't stay out of the water. I wouldn't have to ask where Halle was because I knew she was in the water swimming around.

Hunter loved going on the tube. She would be bouncing around falling off saying, faster, faster! I don't know where she gets her crazy side from, she worries me.

Here she is scaring the other kids. She would freak the little girl out.

Jason was a natural at surfing. He popped out of the water and was surfing with no trouble.

Sun Valley- Where's Ashton?

It was our annual trip to Sun Valley, Idaho.

Here are a few of the fun things we did.
We like to swim.


We learned that pedalling the paddle boats for a half of an hour is a lot harder than you would ever imagine.

We always ride the tram to the top of the mountain.

We like to take pictures of ourselves while Jason is in his meetings.

Hunter likes to pose on top of the mountain.

Jason volunteered to be drag Hunter around the ice skating rink.

By the end of the skating session Hunter was dragging Jason around the rink.

Riding the Rhino!

We went up A.F. canyon a few weeks ago to ride the Rhino. We love it! It is one of the funnest thing to do with your family.

My baby can ride a bike!

Halle wanted to learn to ride her bike. We dusted off Hunter's old pink bike and put her helmet on. She took off down the street and hasn't looked back.
Every morning when she wakes up she likes to go for a little ride. She always asked how many miles she road. She hears me and Jason talk about running so, I think that is why she is worried about getting her miles in.

Halle has totally gotten her miles in this week.

We love the great outdoors!

We went up A.F. Canyon last week with my mom, and brother Lanny and his kids Fisher and Lance. We road the rhino and the 4 wheelers up to Silver Lake. The kids fished while my mom and I ate snacks in the rhino.

I saw my friend the other day and I asked her why my friends are all so cute on their blogs. She said no one puts ugly pictures of themselves on their blogs. Oh Really! Some of us have to take what we can get.
Hunter was the only one to catch a fish.

Jason and Lanny wouldn't give up.


Halle and Lance joined us in the rhino.

Then Halle then joined Fisher on the 4wheelers. Halle kept Fisher busy.
We enjoy the outdoors so much, especially when we can go home and shower.
